How do I download Instagram Reels?
Open the Reel on Instagram, tap the three-dot menu or Share button, and copy the link. Paste it into FlixDownload and hit Download. You can save it as MP4 video or MP3 audio.
Can I download Instagram Stories?
Public Stories can sometimes be downloaded if you have the direct link to the Story. However, Stories are temporary by nature and may not always be available through a shared URL.
Does this work with Instagram carousel posts that have multiple videos?
FlixDownload will download the video content from the post. For carousel posts with multiple items, it will grab the video from the link you provide. You may need to get the direct link to each individual item.
Can I download videos from private Instagram accounts?
No. FlixDownload can only access content from public accounts. If an account is set to private, its posts, Reels, and Stories are not available for download.
Can I extract audio from an Instagram Reel?
Yes. Switch the format toggle to MP3 before downloading and FlixDownload will save only the audio track from the Reel. This is handy for saving trending audio clips or music.
What video quality can I get from Instagram downloads?
FlixDownload saves Instagram videos in the best quality available, which is usually up to 1080p. The exact resolution depends on what the original creator uploaded.
Can I download IGTV or long-form Instagram videos?
Yes. IGTV and longer Instagram videos work the same way as regular posts. Just copy the video link from Instagram and paste it into FlixDownload.
Why is my Instagram download failing?
The most common reason is that the account is set to private or the post has been deleted. Instagram also occasionally changes how links work, so make sure you are copying the full URL from your browser or the Share button.
Can I download Instagram Live videos?
Live broadcasts cannot be downloaded while they are streaming. If the creator shares the live replay as a post or IGTV video afterward, you can download that saved version.
